Pinky Paradise Review

Hi hi hi, Mr. Blog~

I purchased some cosmetic lenses from Pinky Paradise recently and waited about a month to do a review since I wanted to give myself time to adjust to contact use and daily wear in different environments. Tonight I will be discussing the Geo Princess Mimi/Bambi Series design in Apple Green colour, as I have worn these the most in the last thirty days.(Psst, I sort of like them the best~)

First of all, I have to say that I am in no way an optometrist. I know, surprising, right? I read quite a bit of information and did a large amount of research prior to my decision to PUT FOREIGN OBJECTS INTO MY EYES. So everyone remember this is exactly what you are doing if you chose to wear lenses. There is always a risk of harm in doing this but everyone can decrease the probability of these risk by using PROPER HAND WASHING TECHNIQUE and handling you contacts in the proper manner. I'm done pretending to be you mom for now, on with the pretties~

They arrived in exactly seven days, I chose FedEX Economic shipping since I was being a TAD impatient and did not want to wait THIRTY DAYS for my package this go around, and PP packaged them very well!  The bubble wrapping was secure and my items seemed to be under no distress. I got two free gifts for ordering; a velcro fringe holder and some collagen under eye gel pads. Both are pretty nifty and the pads where fun to stick to The Captain when I was finished trying them out!
Packaging:

An image of myself wearing said lenses in fairly neutral lighting. No flash.

Comfort:
I soaked them thoroughly before wearing but still had an uncomfortable time getting used to having contacts in, I attribute it to being more unused to wearing lenses over the manufacturing of the product. Once I was able to pop them in and out without sticking my eye with a finger I had no comfort issues whatsoever. They do tend to dry my eyes after about four hours, I carry a bottle of drops to help with this small problem.  I have read other stating that their eyes burned for a moment after inserting their lenses, I had this problem at first. But I soon began inserting before applying any make-up and washing my hands very thoroughly beforehand. Even if it takes me a moment to place them I set them down and wash again to avoid the oils my skin produces. There is no more stinging or burning. So, overall, my only con would be the ease in which these dry my eyes. If I am outside it tends to enhance the speed of drying as well. I do not consider this a grand inconvenience since I am wearing lenses and would expect such a side effect.

Colour:
My eyes are naturally medium to dark brown so the colour is not as vivid as I would had hoped, but I sort of expected that and went with a softer colour effect because I did not want a "cosplay" look, rather a more natural shade. I love the olive green effect it gives my eyes! The design has a very thick/heavy limbal line that makes one's eyes look slightly "unsettling" to others, almost alien or bug-like in appearance, but I find this style appealing and was very pleased with the effect! Needless to say, enlargement factor is ridiculously awesome.

My natural eye colour and size.

And a close up of the lenses in. Next to a bright window for lighting.

Overall, I am super happy with my purchase and am totally taking advantage of the sale they are having right now~
Night night for now~

Pocket Pets & Spring Time!

I really do not like being hot, Mr. Blog~*drip*
My make up runs before I get to work. My uniform is always hot and sticky. My Casper-esque complexion always makes me burn to a crispy shade of lobster at the pool. But I do love the sunshine! And swimming! And new, green grass. So Spring/Summer is not all THAT bad, as long as I slather on the SPF9000. I think I want a new swim suit this year. Mine has been a cute one but it is more faded than I would like it to be. I hate shopping for a suit though. Being fat makes it a bit annoying to shop for a new swimsuit.

I got a present in the mail today~
It's the Tamagotchi iD L that I have been pinning over all month. I had hoped to get the 15th Anniversary version, but all of those were priced crazy amounts. Wish me luck with my new little friend!

Off to bed, tomorrow is my oldest's last day of school. He is getting so big!

Ah! A CREEPER!

Well, Mr. Blog. Time for more excuses.*drip*
My Kindle died, and it had my most recent photos, so no sharing with you for now. But I do have a few saved on the computer, so you get those! Ha ha, fooled you a moment, eh? Above is my Poupee Girl dress up for today, I went with a starry sky edit since they are having the Horoscope Items promo at the moment. Below is my upload picture for one of the scarfs I wanted to share with you last week. I haven't posted it to PG yet, but since the other ones were lost to my renegade Kindle I do not mind sharing this one early.

Sort of Spank!/Fairy Kei inspired. I have been looking at alot of these things on Tumblr lately! I think full on Fairy Kei is a bit over the top for my personal taste but the colour schemes and the cute items are definitely appealing. The scarf has chained stitches between each strip to hold all three rows together. I really like how this pattern finished. Usually things I make up do not turn out how I planned them, but I was really pleased with these results! I also have been playing around with GIMP, in case you could not tell. Sparkles EVERWHUR~*SPARKLEZ*

As a side note, we have Minecraft now. Add me on Xbawkz and play with me!*HK smile*
Today I was digging around, about 59 block layers deep, and forgot to watch my back. A Creeper popped up and scared the bah-jezus out of me. I screeched so loud I am sure my neighbors were wondering what the heck I was doing, ha ha ha.

Lunch Break!

Guess what? I have discovered the "Comments" section in my administrative blog area. I played around with it for a moment, pretty nifty. I may have accidentally deleted a few comments though... *heartbreak* But I suppose that is what I get for fooling around with buttons!

I could not get my photos to upload from my phone earlier before work. It apparently hares me. I'll attempt again tomorrow before I come back to work, which is where I am at now, by the way! We were assigned new schedules today. I am pretty pleased with mine. Not as nice as my previous schedule but it is not nearly as ghastly as I thought it was going to be! Lately it has felt like work is crap no matter what days I am here.

At the moment I am eating my not so appealing salad and daydreaming of a coffee while I am being subjected to Roseanne reruns on the breakeoom t.v. I used to really like this show, but now I am just sort of tired of it. Doesn't really help that The Captain has EVERY SEASON. He is a bit of a cinimaphile. We have TONS of DVDs he has collected over the years.

Lunch time is over! Time to punch back in! Dah da da daaaaah~*SPARKLE*
